Reflecting on the Justice, Recovery, and Reconstruction Conference in Liverpool

I had the incredible opportunity to take part in the Justice, Recovery, and Reconstruction in Ukraine: The Role of Law in Ukraine’s Recovery conference, held at The Spine Building in Liverpool. This event brought together inspiring minds to discuss Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction through the lens of law and governance.
During Panel 4: AI, Energy, and Emerging Technologies, I presented my work, Greening the Phoenix: Just Energy and Climate Governance in Ukraine’s Post-War Reconstruction. It was a privilege to share insights into how sustainable energy policies and robust climate governance can shape Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
As we work towards rebuilding Ukraine, it is essential to ensure that sustainability, fairness, and innovation are at the heart of these efforts. The discussions throughout the conference reinforced the importance of international cooperation and the critical role that new technologies and legal frameworks will play in shaping our future.
I am deeply grateful to Edge Hill University, the International Justice and Human Rights Centre, and all the organizers and participants for creating such an enriching environment for collaboration. It was an honor to represent both Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and the Sustainable Development and Environmental Law Center in this important dialogue.
