On October 31, the forum «Ukraine at the COP29 Climate Conference» was organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine. This event was an important stage in the preparation for one of the most significant climate events of the year – the UN Climate Change Conference COP29.
The event was attended by government officials, MPs, representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations, business, academia and environmental NGOs to discuss how Ukraine is preparing for this event and what initiatives it plans to present at COP29.
The main topics of the forum are:
- Interagency coordination of Ukraine’s preparations for COP29 and actualization of the climate agenda.
- The role of business in the green transformation – what steps have already been taken and what is still to come.
- Expectations of civil society, youth and experts from COP29.
Participants also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the “real” reality of Ukraine’s war-torn environment with the help of EcoLens.
