Towards Resilient and Resistant Climate Change Law (RESClimLaw)
This project is funded through the MSCA4Ukraine initiative, supported by the European Union (Project No. 10110192).
The Challenge
Climate change is one of the most pressing, complex, and multifaceted challenges of our era. It intersects with numerous sectors and requires a robust, interdisciplinary response. Yet, as crises like pandemics, armed conflicts, and nuclear threats emerge, they often divert attention from climate priorities, placing additional stress on economic and social systems.
The Vision
This project explores Climate Law from a legal theory perspective, aiming to answer the critical question:
How can we make climate law resilient to the evolving emergencies of the modern world?
The Approach
To address this question, the project seeks to develop a legal framework that:
- Guards against abrupt shifts in priorities during crises.
- Facilitates timely responses to emergencies.
- Supports sustainable recovery while preserving climate commitments.
